Farnborough weekend tournament

Here is a quick rundown of how our tournaments work:

• There is space for 24 teams to take part for each tournament. All teams must already be registered to a Play Netball league. The men who are playing for your team in the mixed tournament do not need to be registered with Play Netball.
• There is no limit to the number of players assigned to your team but please note there will only be 8 trophies awarded to the winning teams. For the mixed tournament there can only be a maximum of three male players from your team on court at one time.
• If you cannot source 7 players from your Play Netball team, you can ask family or friends to take part. There should still be a minimum of 3 of your original players taking part in the tournament.
• The tournament will consist of groups with 6 teams. You will play each team in your group once. Winning teams will then move onto further matches. If you have not succeeded past the group stage, there are opportunities for you to play friendlies with other teams.
• For our versatility tournament all players will change bibs after each half of the game played. You cannot choose your preferred position after each half, Play Netball will have a bib rota.
• Team registration for each tournament is £80. This will need to be paid in advance to confirm your team’s space.
• You don’t need to provide an umpire or scorer. Teams will need to bring their own bibs.
• There will be trophies awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
